Thank you to everyone for all the cute handmade cards, chocolates, and gifts. They were so sweet and it really started my day with a smile. Thanks also to our PTO and parents who contributed toward the delicious lunches (and breakfast) that were provided to our staff this week. Each day we were treated to a wonderful meal. I am so grateful for all you do!
Reading - This week we'll be reading The Three Little Pigs and The Three Little Javalinas. Our focus will be on retelling and determining the central message. We'll also compare and contrast these 2 stories.
Vocabulary Words: bundle, load, turnips, churn, fortune, and blazing
Math - We'll continue our work with multiplication next week. We'll learn to multiply numbers in any order, learn the properties of multiplying with 1 and 0, and we'll solve problems by writing number sentences.
Butterfly Update - Eight of our butterflies have emerged from their chrysalises. Unfortunately, 3 of them were not formed correctly. We were lucky enough to watch one of them emerge today. Very cool! We plan to let our 5 healthy butterflies fly away today and hopefully we'll have 2 more on Monday!
